I was using it without knowing what it was! Sketchnoting is the idea of adding sketches to your notes so sketches help you remember better than if you only had text. With sketchnotes we do not have the standard top to bottom, left to right flow that we used to have. Make sure to indicate the general flow of your sketchnotes to identify where the eyes go first and after that. In the sketch notes have one core idea and a few important ideas that we want to stand out and emphasis throw out the sketchnote. This verbal to visual method is really helpful way to organize your thoughts, so try it if you have not yet tried it before!

Hi Mahi! I also realized I did sketch noting all the time without knowing what it was called. I find it super effective for figuring out concepts in math or memorizing diagrams for a test. When I took stats 255 last year this was the method that the professor used to teach students. You did an excellent job at circling and identifying the important notes on the page sticking to one idea.
